Assigned Reading 9 Survey xml standards

This article started out stating that this would be a summary of the most important parts of XML.  The core techniques form the basis of what is being expressed.  This is a series of articles that gives a brief overview of the different types of the core basis of XML and then gives you additional resources to click on to for additional instructions and tutorials.  

Cataloging is defined as a format for instruction on how XML processor resolves entity identifiers into the documents.  Namespaces provides a mechanism for naming elements and attributes in the documents.  XML base associates xml elements with URIs.  Xinclude  provides a system for merging documents and is used to split the document as much a you like then merge it back together.

Also briefly discussed were XML frost, cononical xml, Xpath, Xpointer, Xlink, RelaxNG, W3C XML and schematron.
