Assigned Reading 13 TIA and Data Mining

TIA  is a tracking system used to detect terrorism through the analyzing of information.  It was envisioned to give law enforcement access to private data without undo cause or warrants.
It was developed to tract potential terrorists by collecting information using computers, algorithms and human analysis.  This information is collected from multiple sources to create a virtual, centralized grand database.
in 2003 the funding was eliminated.

There were additional articles that told of what has become of TIA, the critics that were against this "tracking system" and how it is an invasion of not only our privacy but also of our civil rights.
