assigned Reading 7 ILS

From what i gathered, an ILS is used to help the library solve everyday problems--now the web is creating changes and opportunities that makes the library need to change their ILS.  Vendors are competing with their products for newer and better technology.  There is competition between the vendors and third-party software and service vendors and this alliance reduces profits.  Librarian dont want to pay for this updated technology and some librarians are coming up with their own solutions.
